I am going to attempt to build a 30' pontoon/house boat this summer. i am planning, if it is possible, to use big plastic barrels to make this sucker float.. We are going to be building a homemade pontoon boat! the pontoons themselves will consist of 55 gallon barrels that we picked up at a junk yard. the frame will be constructed of mostly 1/8" steel.
